Why Mohs Surgery?

Mohs is a specialized surgical method for removing certain types of skin cancer such as Basal Cell Carcinoma(BCC) and Squamous Cell Carcinoma(SCC). This technique is rather precise as it’s done in stages to remove the cancer entirely. Each stage of tissue is carefully examined using a dye to detect the presence of the cancer. If any trace is present, more of the skin is removed until cancer-free. This method is commonly used on areas such as the eye, nose, lips, ears, scalp, fingers, toes, or genitals to save healthy skin and make sure all the skin cancer is removed.
