Morpheus8 is a cutting-edge fractional skin treatment that stimulates collagen production in the underlying layers of the skin. Pre-Treatment Instructions:
For 2 weeks
- AVOID Clinical treatments (including but not limited to): microdermabrasion, Laser treatments, Dermapen, chemical peels, muscle relaxant injection and Dermal fillers.
For 1 week
- AVOID Direct sun exposure.
- Consider taking Arnica tablets 1 week prior to your treatment to minimize the risk of bruising. (Found in any pharmacy)
For 1 week
- AVOID The use of NSAIDS (Aspirin, Ibuprofen, etc.), Vitamin E, Fish Oil, Gingko Biloba, Ginseng and St. Johns Wart to reduce your risk of swelling and bruising.
- AVOID Consumption of alcohol and/or smoking
- AVOID Skincare products containing active ingredients such as: Vitamin A compounds (retinol, retinoids), Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acids, and any other exfoliating products. & Hydroquinone.
Treatment Information
Please come with your skin free of makeup, lotions, self-tanning products, etc.
A numbing agent will be applied to the treated area for 45-60 minutes.
You are welcome to bring entertainment for this: Tablet, earphones, book etc.
Post-Treatment Care:
- In the first 1-3 days after your treatment, you may experience some redness, swelling, small needle marks and small scabs in the treated area. These side effects are normal and will heal within the first week of post treatment. You can use an ice pack on the area/ cooling aloe gel to soothe.
- Ensure to always wash your hands before touching the treated area and use a mild, soap-free cleanser and use clean towels.
Following your Morpheus 8 clinical procedure, please avoid the following:
For 48 hours:
- Wearing make up
- Direct Sun exposure (sun and solariums).
- Intensive cardio/exercise.
- Excessively hot showers, baths, hot tubs, steam, sauna.
- Swimming in chlorinated pools or the ocean.
- Tattooing (including cosmetic tattooing).
For up to 7 days:
The use of any skincare products containing the following active ingredients:
- Alpha hydroxy acid (AHAs) (including but not limited to) glycolic, lactic or malic acid
- Beta hydroxy acid (BHA) including salicylic acid
- Benzoyl peroxide
- Retinoids (including but not limited to) tretinoin, retinol and retinaldehyde hydroquinone
- High levels of Kojic or azelaic acid
- Alcohol (including but not limited to) isopropyl alcohol/ rubbing alcohol.
For 14 days:
- Further clinical treatments (including but not limited to): microdermabrasion, Laser treatments, IPL, chemical peels, muscle relaxant injection and Dermal fillers, self-tanning products.
- Notify the clinic of any concerns (blistering, excessive redness/swelling, etc.)
- Cortisone creams such as Fucibet or Coritzone-10 can be applied to these areas.
