Pre-Treatment Instructions:
- Discontinue the use of skincare products containing active ingredients such as Vitamin A compounds (retinol, retinoids), Alpha-Hydroxy Acids, Beta-Hydroxy Acids, and any other exfoliating products for 48 hours before your Geneo treatment.
- Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 48 hours prior to your treatment.
- If you have a history of herpes or cold sores, it is recommended to obtain an anti-viral prescription before treatment. If you have an active cold sore, please reschedule your appointment.
- Certain medications or supplements may increase sensitivity, so consult with your physician.
- For 14 days before and after your treatment, avoid any clinical treatments such as laser treatments, IPL, chemical peels, micro needling, muscle relaxant injections, and dermal fillers.
Post-Treatment Care:
- After your Geneo treatment, your skin may have a slight rosy glow for approximately 12-24 hours.
- Use gentle and fragrance-free products for the next 3-5 days or until you no longer feel sensitivity to your home care products.
- Cleanse and moisturize your skin twice daily, following any recommended home care products.
- It is advisable to avoid over-the-counter topical medications or alpha hydroxy acids for up to 5 days after treatment to prevent irritation.
- Discontinue the use of topical retinoids for at least 3 days post-treatment, or longer if your skin is sensitive. This includes products such as tretinoin, Retin-A®, Renova®, Differin®, Tazorac®, Avage®, EpiDuoTM, and Ziana®.
- Avoid direct sun exposure for 1-2 days after your treatment.
- Apply a mineral SPF 30-50 daily following your treatment.
- Refrain from tanning for at least 2 weeks after the procedure due to increased risk of skin cancer and signs of aging.
- Do not pick or pull any loosening or peeling skin, as this may lead to scarring or hyperpigmentation.
- Avoid electrolysis, facial waxing, and depilatories for approximately 1-2 weeks.

The Genox treatment is a comfortable and non-invasive procedure that typically takes about 30-45 minutes. During the treatment, the Geneo device is gently glided over the skin, delivering the combined effects of TriPollar RF, OxyGeneo Oxyfusion, and Ultrasound.
For optimal results, a series of 6-8 Genox treatments is recommended, spaced every 2-3 weeks. After the initial series, maintenance treatments can be done every 4-6 weeks to maintain the achieved results.
