Botox
Botox is a popular cosmetic treatment that helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It works by blocking the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that tells muscles to contract. When Botox is injected into a muscle, it causes the muscle to relax, which reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines caused by muscle contractions.
Botox can be used to treat wrinkles and fine lines on areas of the face such as the forehead, glabella, crow’s feet, chin dimples, downturned mouth corners and neck bands.
The effects of Botox typically last for 3 to 4 months, but this can vary depending on the individual and the area being treated. Botox is a safe and effective treatment when administered by a qualified healthcare professional. It has been used for cosmetic purposes for over 20 years and has an excellent safety profile.
Botox can also be used for excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis and hair loss treatments.
